CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAMMES

Chess Club

The Noble Brains Academy recognises Chess as the game of geniuses, philanthropists and other gifted people. We designed and mainstreamed Chess Club as part of the School co-curricular activities to holistically develop students in problem-solving skills, social and relationship-building skills as well as thinking skills, as we groom them to join the community of global geniuses and gifted individuals in their future careers.

Through the Chess Club, we hope to:

  • Improve better brain function of the students for remarkable mental performance.
  • Improve students in other cognitive abilities like intelligence, empathy and intellectual maturity.
  • Improve the students' memory capability for tactical and strategic skills development in solving day-to-day academic and social challenges.
  • Improve cognitive abilities of the students in perception, motor, language, visual and spatial processing and executive functions.
  • Help students harness their problem-solving skills and better plan of action for multi-faceted solutions to real life issues across scientific, mathematical, socio-economic, political and leadership spheres.
  • Improve students' attention and concentration level for outstanding academic performance and productivity.
  • Elevate students' creativity for alternate uses for common elements, excellent interpretation of patterns and meaning in abstract forms.
  • Improve students' self-awareness and build more effective inter-personal relationships, and promote their social and positive emotional maturity.
